Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract performance), Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests).
We do not share your data with third parties except the processors named above, who are necessary to provide the service, or when required by law.
To exercise your rights, contact: team [at] watt-the-f.com
Account data is deleted when you delete your account or after 2 years of inactivity. Technical logs are automatically deleted after 90 days.
You can exercise your right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) yourself at any time: in your account settings you will find a self-service “Delete account” button. Once confirmed, your account and all associated data (profile, race and rider follows, email preferences including consents, time zone and notification history) are permanently and irreversibly deleted. Alternatively, an informal email to us is sufficient.
Sevenspot displays race data of athletes (name, bib number, position, distance, times, checkpoint passages). This data is not provided by the data subjects themselves but obtained from publicly accessible live-tracking platforms operated by the respective race organisers (Follow My Challenge, Racemap, Trackleaders, etc.).
The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in providing a tracking and information platform for the dotwatching community, as well as the public interest in race results. Affected athletes may object to the display of their data at any time (Art. 21 GDPR) — in which case we will remove the relevant data without delay. Requests to: team [at] watt-the-f.com
Database, authentication, and email delivery (Supabase, Resend) run on servers within the EU. Some services process data in the USA — in particular Anthropic and ElevenLabs (AI commentary/audio), Vercel (hosting as well as Web Analytics and Speed Insights, see section 12), Google (Analytics/Tag Manager, only after consent, see section 13), and possibly Paddle. Such transfers are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Google LLC is certified under the DPF).
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights (Vercel Inc., USA) to analyse the use of our website (e.g. page views, pages used) and its technical performance (load times, Web Vitals from real visits) in order to improve the service.
Both services work cookielessly: no cookies are set and no information is stored on or read from your device. Only anonymised, aggregated metrics are collected, without cross-device recognition; no profiling takes place. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a needs-based, stable and fast website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). As no device information is accessed, no consent under § 25 TTDSG is required.
This may involve a transfer to the USA (see section 10). You may object to this processing at any time (Art. 21 GDPR).
After your explicit consent we use Google Analytics 4, loaded via Google Tag Manager (both: Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; the data processing is also operated by Google LLC, USA). We use it to analyse anonymously how our site is used (e.g. pages viewed, clicks on key features, language used) in order to improve it.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG. Without consent, Google Analytics is not loaded / does not fire, no analytics cookies (_ga/_ga_*) are set, and no data is transmitted to Google. We use Google Consent Mode v2: the consent default is set to "denied" until you agree. You can withdraw your consent at any time with future effect via "Cookie settings" in the footer; we then delete the _ga cookies that were set.
Google processes, among other things, a truncated IP address, a random identifier (client ID), and device and usage information. A transfer to the USA may occur (see section 10; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework). Google Signals (cross-device tracking) and advertising features are disabled. Further information: Google’s privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
